Karean Connolly

Karean is a Caymanian creator who loves the idea of working a simple piece of material into a unique fashion creation. Her love for sewing started in her junior year of high school where she crafted her first outfit, despite not being wearable a sense of overwhelming pride was felt.

Some years after she was gifted with an old sewing machine, which allowed her to make small repairs and alteration to garments as needed. With other family priorities, sewing slowly took a backseat until last year. In late 2018 she started sewing lessons. For Karean, sewing has always been a personal hobby only for enjoyment. However, the classes opened her eyes to the opportunity of creative expression and inspired a desire to pursue fashion design.

A hallmark element of her personal style is the idea of taking something old and making something new. Being able to take something that is unwanted or not needed and giving it a new life with a bit of thread and style brings her great joy.
